LESOTHO: Please convince the King to renew my expiring contract”, Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze.

MBABANE: Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze allegedly wrote a letter to Defense and State Security Principal Secretary (PS) His Royal Highness Prince Sicalo pleading with him to convince His Majesty King Mswati to renew his expiring contract.
The letter from Army Commander’s Office was addressed to the PS and it remains unclear if it has been delivered to the Ministry of Defense and State Security, the Army Commander’s contract of employment will expire in November 2026.
In the letter, the Army Commander stated that, he wanted to complete some projects key in the development of the Umbutfo Eswatini Defense Force (UEDF).
Army Spokesperson Major Sandile Gwebu declined to comment regarding the request by the Army Commander to have his contract of employment renewed.
On another note, the King has renewed Deputy Army Commander MfanaweNkhosi Khumalo and Army Chief of Staff Prince Vusummango Dlamini’s contracts.
